Communications – Paid Internship
Balance4ward is seeking a Communications Intern for the Summer of 2024.
As a Communications Intern, your time at Balance4ward will be a great experience with a growing business in the cattle industry. Over the summer, you will gain valuable experience with event planning, digital content creation, marketing design, and more. You will also contribute to Balance4Ward’s mission in tangible ways through storytelling and compelling visual media that capture our impact on the cattle industry. This is an exciting internship opportunity for anyone looking to hone their marketing and communications skillset in the agriculture industry.
Location – On-Site: Nodaway, IA
Housing: Balance4ward will assist in locating housing for the duration of the summer within drivable distance of the Nodaway office location. Intern will be responsible for up to $200 of living expenses per month plus any extra utilities. If a home address is within drivable distance, the intern may commute.
What You’ll Learn:
- Planning and executing large-scale events, specifically our annual cattle summit, educational events, and our annual company golf outing.
- Creating digital media and social media content
- Designing marketing activities to increase engagement and awareness
- Ordering and managing inventory of promotional items
- Preparing promotional presentations
- Photography and videography
- Storytelling and copy capabilities

- Shows a strong desire to create positive change in the cattle industry
- Self-directed and capable of working independently
