Job Summary:

The Market Advisor is a relationship and trust builder, who will help our customers see what a level playing field looks like.  This includes connecting with customers on a monthly basis to help them understand our company cattle position and how that ties to our proven 5-step strategy.  We believe in helping our customers deliver repeatable profits in both cattle and grain.

Note: This is NOT a sales role.  Our sales team will deliver customers to you.

Location On-Site:  Omaha, NE

Responsibilities:

  • Train and influence customers to follow our proven 5-step process
  • Deliver “Weekly Packet” to customers monthly, assisting them with cattle and grain marketing strategies and decisions
  • Actively participate in customer and prospect meetings with sales team
  • Ability to travel 25% of the time within a 5 state area
  • Collaborate with Cattle Business Managers on scheduling monthly calls with clients
  • Identify opportunities for cross-selling Balance4ward operational solutions and communicate the value of those to clients
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with the sales teams to ensure seamless communication and alignment of strategies

 

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Understands and appreciates the mid-market segment of the cattle feeding industry. Agrees that mid-market cattlemen cannot build wealth hedging a profit
  • Knowledge of and experience trading multiple commodity markets
  • Understands how to generate profits in a highly leveraged, margin-based business
  • Enjoys coaching and helping people with cattle and grain marketing strategies
  • A humble decision maker that can be bold, while also being able to accept being wrong
  • Has a patient, flexible and adaptable working style. This allows for productive conversations with all customers, regardless of their experience level with futures trading and cash marketing
  • Desire to be proactive and take risk trading the trend rather than as a traditional risk manager
  • Sees value in following process, versus flying by the seat of their pants
  • Demonstrates the exceptional ability to build trust and communicate with people of diverse personalities

 

Qualifications

  • Series 3 license with experience trading cattle and grain futures
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business or related field required
  • Experience in livestock industry required
  • Ability to travel to customer locations regularly
  • Ability to build trust and influence customers to think like Balance4ward does
